NEGREANU BACKS IVEY

Daniel Negreanu has provided the backing to Phil Ivey over the latest controversy. Ivey, who said he was “deeply disappointed and embarrassed” by the online poker site’s slow action to allow Americans access to their online poker accounts, is also suing Full Tilt for alleged damages done to his reputation by their lack of positive activity, only for the company to counter by suggesting the 35-year-old’s comments are “sanctimonious” and his upcoming lawsuit “frivolous” in an angry response.

NEGREANU TWEETS ABOUT TEKINGTAMGAC

Daniel Negreanu showed his anger about the inclusion of Tekingtamgac in the WPT. ekintamgac was disqualified from last year’s Partouche Poker Tour Main Event after making all the way to the final table via cheating, reportedly.

OnlinePokerNews.net reports, “Allegedly, Tekintamgac was being supplied with information on opponent’s holecards from phony reporters at the event, and after he was disqualified it was believed he would face a ban from all future major tournaments.”

NEGREANU WINS REMATCH

Daniel Negreanu won a rematch for $26k against Blom. Blom was the leading player at the beginning of the match. When 1200 hands were played, Blom was in the lead for $100k. He was still in the lead for $120k after 100 more hands were played. Many excited spectators thought that Blom will continue to be in the lead and will finally beat Negreanu. But this was not to be because “Kid Poker” started playing his miracles toward the end of the match. In a surprising turn of events, Negreanu put himself in the lead when there were just 350 hands left to play.

Daniel Negreanu has improved massively from his 2009 playing days and this can be seen from his winnings in the last two years. Sometimes you raise to build the pot. Daniel Negreanu and Vanessa Rousso will be making their debuts in the Poker Premier League. Negreanu is arguably the most famous face in poker and currently holds the record for most all-time tournament winnings with $12,432,367. He had this to say, 'I am a bit of a stats geek and a big fan of unique tournaments with point systems.' He continued, 'Playing in this event requires a different type of strategy and I thoroughly enjoy trying to figure out what the best approach is, then implementing it, and hoping it works!'

NEGREANU'S COMPETITION FINISHED

Daniel Negreanu‘s poker tournament finished earlier after a winner was found. In the show’s 12th week, 51-year old former Boston bus driver Bob Ferdinand netted a profit of $181,500 in 150 hands — most of any of the show’s revolving group of 12 amateur players.

Daniel Negreanu did well in the PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge Finals. A four-man sit and go to play Negreanu heads-up was held featuring four previous “Million Dollar Challenge” contestants. Cupini, the first challenger to appear on Season 2 of “Million Dollar Challenge,” squared off against lovable Texan Johnny Whitt; Ray Reid, the son of a preacher; and Carmenlita Cothron, the season’s only $100,000 winner.

NEGREANU AIMING FOR THE EUROPEAN POKER WIN

Daniel Negreanu is one of the very few players who haven't won the EPT and now he is targetting one. Negreanu has been in Los Angeles for the past week for the North American Poker Tour Main Event, which was eventually won by Joe Tehan. As he was about to return home to Las Vegas, his assistant informed him of a potential problem with his travel plans. The popular Canadian had planned to fly to Barcelona for the EPT on November 20, stay until the 27th and then a week later fly to Sydney for the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. However, it transpired that his passport was due to expire on December 5.

NEGREANU WINS

Daniel Negreanu won the Fairways and Felts Challenge. Daniel Negreanu took down first place at the Fairways and Felts tournament, a side event at the European Poker Tour: Vilamoura tournament. The tournament was a unique mixture of poker and golf that rewarded players for solid play on the golf course with more chips on the poker table.

Negreanu Nominated

Phil Hellmuth is all set to be joined by a new set of poker stars like Daniel Negreanu after the 2010 Poker Hall of Fame nominees was announced. Considered one of the biggest honors in poker, the next step of the process will now involve the 16 living members of the Hall, as well as a panel of 17 media personnel, getting together to choose the eventual winner.

Created in 1979 by Benny Binion, the exclusive Poker Hall of Fame boasts 38 players and includes such legends of the game as Johnny Moss, Nick the Greek, Wild Bill Hickok, Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Stu Unga, and Phil Hellmuth.
